Frades island - Todos os Santos bay

Frades island is an island that belongs to Salvador and is located in the center of Todos os Santos bay (in portuguese: Baía de Todos os Santos), the main bay of Bahia. It seems to be a star with 15 points and owns beatutiful beaches, lakes, waterfalls, mountains, coconut palms and a typical Atlantic Forest vegetation with native trees. There's also a little village known as Ponta de Nossa Senhora in this island.

Other small islands like Loreto, Paramana e Ponta de Nossa Senhora belong to Ilha dos Frades. It's worth to visit Viração beach and the desert Tobar as well. Those are peaceful beaches.

There are two ways to get there. The fastest one is by a boat that leaves from Bahia Nautical Center (in portuguese: Centro Náutico da Bahia) in Comércio, Salvador. The other way is by car until Madre de Deus (a city) and from there getting a ship to cross.
