Ilhéus - Cacau Coast

Ilhéus is the main city of Cacau Coast and owns a beautiful sea rounded with white sand and extenses coconut palms. Along the central border, there are many fluvial and maritime small islands, what justify the city name (Ilhéus is the portuguese word for small island in the plural form). The bay is a great place to practice nautical sports, like windsurf, laser and kayak. How to get there Ilhéus is 464 km from Salvador. - Aerial There are daily flights departing from the main cities of Brazil to Ilhéus. - Overland By car: coming from Salvador, get the BR-324 road until BR-101, then BA-262 until Ilhéus. Coming from the south part of Brazil, take the BR-101 road until Itabuna, then BR-415 until Ilhéus. By bus: buses from Salvador to Canavieira leave daily at the bus terminal. - Sea Ships from all over the world anchor at a Ilhéus' harbor.
