Mucuri - Baleias Coast

Mucuri is located in the south part of Baleias Coast. This small city has kilometers of paradisiac and desert beaches and is common to find sea cliffs on the shore. The tourist structure is limited, but in its main avenue there are bars, restaurants, hotels and stores that sell handicraft. There's also a base of TAMAR Project (brazilian non-profit organization that protects sea turtles from extinction in the brazilian coastline). Costa Dourada, Jacutinga, Lençóis da Velha, Barra, Coqueiros and Riacho Doce are some of the beaches that everybody should visit.How to get there It's 904km from Salvador. - Overland By car: leaving Salvador to BR-324 (road) until BR-101 (road), that takes to Mucuri. By bus: leave from Salvador Bus Terminal to Porto Seguro, then take another bus to Texeira de Freitas. Arriving there, it's necessary to get one last bus to Mucuri. - Aerial There are daily flights to Porto Seguro International Airport departing from Salvador. Getting there, you can take a bus until Teixeira de Freitas, where buses to Mucuri depart.
