Santa Cruz Cabrália - Descobrimento Coast

Quieter than Porto Seguro, Santa Cruz Cabrália has much to offer tourists. The place was the scenery to the first Mass of Brazil, in 1500. A symbolic cross marks the spot on the Coroa Vermelha beach, that has typical landscapes of Southern Bahia, framed by a crystal sea protected by reefs and Atlantic Forest vegetation. One of the nicest rides in the region's beaches is by boat through the village of Santo André and the coral reefs of Coroa Alta. How to get there - Aerial The nearest airport is in Porto Seguro - 23 km far away. - Overland By car: coming from North or South, access through BR-101 (road) until Eunápolis and then take the BR-367 to Santa Cruz Cabrália. By bus: There are buses departing from Salvador Bus Terminal and from other states, like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. There is also buses that leave from other Bahia's cities.
